I am so proud of Tilly from Richmond who passed her driving test today, almost 3 years after being involved in a serious road accident, where as a passenger she suffered serious brain trauma in a life changing incident.
Tilly has been supported in her recovery by Occupational Therapist Clare from RehabilitateTherapy.co.uk and it was Clare who introduced me to Tilly in April to help her prepare for “suitability to hold a driving licence assessment” by the DVSA.
We were delighted that the assessment was successful and Tilly continued to learn to drive with me culminating in a “first time pass” this morning - and with just 2 small driver errors! What a drive!
Congratulations Tilly! I am so pleased for you and to see your reaction this morning at the Darlington driving test centre was wonderful! Also, what a great Christmas jumper!
